Endoscopy Decontamination Technician
Ormskirk Treatment Centre
£18,546-£19,918 per annum
Fancy a something new? Different challenges every day? Then consider joining the Endoscopy team. The Endoscopy Treatment Centre is based at Ormskirk NHS Trust Hospital and we have a Full time Band 2 permanent vacancy for an Endoscopy Decontamination Technician to join our fast paced, dynamic Unit.
Working to strict environmental controls and detailed work instructions and with the support of a Team Leader/Supervisor you will be required to ensure that all Endoscopy scopes and equipment are processed in a timely response to meet the requirements of the Trusts clinical and operation needs.
Our Treatment Centre provides a daily Endoscopy service to the Trust covering both the Southport & Ormskirk sites. The successful candidate will be based at the Ormskirk site.
Working for our organisation
The current service runs from 08:00 – 18:00 Monday to Friday. The successful applicant will be required to work a mixture of these shifts and future development plans may include Saturdays on a rota.
This position requires a Standard DBS Check.

- Good literacy and numeracy skills essential evidenced on application
- National Decontamination Training Programme or other Decontamination or qualification or equivalent.
- Previous experience of working in Sterile Services Department or medical device/endoscopy decontamination manufacturing or production environment
- Experience of working within a peri-operative care setting or healthcare related clinical environment would be a considerable advantage such as Theatres.
