An exciting opportunity has arisen at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust for the dynamic role of a Fire Safety Manager.
You will be responsible for providing professional leadership and support for Fire Safety at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust.
We are looking for committed individuals who are team driven and focused in delivering exceptional Fire Safety management and advice to the Trust. The individual must have a flexible work attitude and be able to listen to key stakeholders in Fire Safety issues and provide well considered and defendable advice.
It is important that the individual is open and adaptable to change and willing to challenge unacceptable practice that does not promote the safety of the patients or staff within the Trust care. The individual will have evidence of competence in a Fire Safety management role and be able to articulate freely Fire standards in line with the Fire Safety Order 2005 and Health Care Technical manuals dedicated to Fire safety provision and management.
As a team player, you’ll be able to prioritise your work in order to meet deadlines and have a team and customer focused approach. Previous experience of working within a healthcare environment or the NHS is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Access to a vehicle is essential for this role.

This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction.
High Cost Area Supplement - London
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £3,899 and a maximum payment of £4,968).
