Sherwood Forest Hospitals have exciting Band 5 opportunities for enthusiastic and highly motivated Registered Children's Nurses to join our Paediatric team.
Ward 25 is a 30 bedded unit with both medical and surgical beds and 2 high dependency beds. We have recently opened our Children's Assessment Unit within the ward and there are options to rotate within this.
We also have a well-established day-case surgery pathway.
We offer:
• a wide and exciting range of specialities on our ward, where you can develop your career and skills in paediatric nursing
• a paediatric specific orientation and Preceptorship package, that is delivered with the support of a practice development team
• opportunities to explore the range of services within paediatrics, including working in the Emergency Department and clinics, and with the specialist nurses in diabetes, respiratory and epilepsy.
• An opportunity for rotation within the ward, neonates and our Emergency Department.
We are looking for first level Registered Children’s Nurses, newly qualified or experienced who, are able to work flexibly over a 24-hour period, are eager to develop their skills and expertise and who keen to join a friendly, enthusiastic and supportive nursing team, who are dedicated to providing high quality, evidence based care.
