About

2gether Support Solutions was formed in April 2018 as a new, wholly owned subsidiary company of one of the largest NHS Foundation Trusts in the UK, East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust.

The Trust established the company to reflect its strategic aim to secure strong, vibrant core facilities and support services for the long term, having signed a 25 year contract with 2gether. Recognising that these services would be best delivered in a new service model, a private independent trading company was formed, and who would build on the existing service model whilst developing opportunities for greater service provision in the future.

The Trust has formed the company with social values at its core, ensuring that patients, staff and the local community benefit from the way the company operates. As a social values organisation, 2gether will engage with the social enterprise networks within Kent. Whilst the company remains 100% publicly owned with the Trust being its only shareholder, it does deliver commercial services to third parties and will build on this in coming years.

As a wholly-owned subsidiary of  East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust, 2gether Support Solutions prides itself on the delivery of high-quality Facilities management  including hard and soft FM, Procurement, Equipment Management and Professional services.

 

We provide support services in five Hospitals across East Kent, that are: William Harvey Hospital in Ashford, Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital in Margate, Buckland Hospital in Dover, Royal Victoria Hospital in Folkestone; and Kent and Canterbury Hospital in Canterbury.

 

 

 

 

Job overview

As a cleaning team leader, you will be a vital part of a large facilities team who ensure that the hospital is operating within the highest standards for cleanliness, safety and patient service. Cleaning team leaders are hands on, undertaking proactive and reactive UV and Red Cleans and ensuring that the domestic team adhere to all standards of cleaning. Knowledge of cleaning standards and health and safety would be an advantage. We will cover costs for a DBS check if required for the role.

  • Conduct all cleans in line with specifications, ensuring compliance with operational policies on H&S, COSSH, BICS and other statutory legislation. Lead on the proactive cleaning regime taking place across the year.
  • Ensure compliance with contract service levels, working through any service failures to identify ongoing issues and resolve them.
  • Responsible for the suitable storage of materials and equipment in line with H&S and COSSH.
