Job overview
We are looking for an ambitious and forward thinking person to join our Executive Team at ESHT. This is a key role within the Executive Team driving forward the improvement and transformation agenda associated in alignment with the Trust's strategy, but also working across the ICS and Place to optimise resources to improve patient care. The post holder will be responsible for the leadership, development and implementation on behalf of the Chief Executive, of the Trust's transformation and improvement programme (Building for our Future) including building capacity and capabilities, cross organisational and culture change. The aim is to bring together existing programmes of work in order that the Trust has a structured approach, built on best practice improvement and project/programme methodologies across the hospital redevelopment project, strategic and financial priorities and GIRFT to Oversight Framework (SOF) requirements, is financially sustainable whilst marinating and improving qualities and performance.
The post has become vacant following the appointment of the current postholder to the Chief Operating Officer post. ESHT is a SOF 1 organisation and rated good by CQC, we strive to continually improve the experience for our population, patients and our colleagues who work at the trust and as such this post offers an exciting opportunity to ensure our organisations future successes.

- Development of a continuous improvement approach across the organisation, ensuring that we have a culture of QI and the framework aligns our Trust vision, priorities and transformation programmes

- Working within the trust and across the wider ICS to ensure service configurations are optimised in terms of clinical, workforce and financial sustainability and place based priorities are aligned with Trust plans.

Essential criteria
- Master’s Degree level qualification in Management of Health Related subject or equivalent knowledge and experience with a role specific focus
- Significant post qualification experience working at a senior level, with a strong professional reputation built on a track record of career development through delivery

- Degree Level education or equivalent, preferably in the field of Programme Management or Continuous Improvement

- Proven ability to analyse complex problems and to develop and successfully implement practical and workable solutions to address them;
