The United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT) is one of the largest trusts in the country. Through four main hospitals we provide a comprehensive range of hospital-based medical, surgical, paediatric, obstetric and gynaecological services to the 700,000 people of Lincolnshire.
We provide a wide range of healthcare services delivered by 8,600 highly trained staff and volunteers. Our services cost over £400m each year to provide and we invest around £18m each year in improving our clinical services by replacing and upgrading our medical equipment, modernising our estate and facilities and improving our information and technology infrastructure. In an average year, we treat more than 180,000 A&E patients, nearly half a million outpatients and almost 100,000 inpatients.

Are you an experienced oncology/acute oncology health professional and ready to move to a trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) role? We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our dynamic Acute Oncology team. The team is spread across 3 hospital sites, regularly supporting areas such as our Oncology Assessment Units, A&E departments, as well as other inpatient areas with the assessment, management and ongoing treatment plans for patients presenting with conditions relating to their cancer or cancer treatment. Experience of clinical decision making is essential to the role. There will be high-level clinical decision making and autonomy expected of the successful candidate.
Advanced communication skills are essential, and the candidate must be self-motivated in order to engage effectively within the multi-disciplinary team. The successful candidate will be involved in education and teaching across the organisation.

The Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) will use specialist knowledge and skills to provide healthcare autonomously to patients within their sphere of practice. The ACP is accountable for independent clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients with undiagnosed and undifferentiated conditions as well as patients with known and chronic conditions. In addition to this the ACP is also responsible for appropriately referring patients to relevant specialities for any necessary inpatient or outpatient investigations.
The role will include developing audit and research projects within their sphere/ area of practice, and participating in up-dating and implementing departmental policies, protocols and guidelines, in line with national guidance and contemporary evidence.
