Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust is one of the largest NHS teaching Trusts in the United Kingdom with a reputation for excellent staff who provide high quality care from three hospitals:
- City Hospital in Birmingham

- Sandwell General Hospital in West Bromwich
Our new acute hospital, the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital (MMUH), opens this year and will provide care to our local population from first class, purpose-built premises. As a result, the base of this role may change to MMUH from 2024 (or beyond). If this is applicable to your role, you will be informed during the recruitment process and continuing your application with this understanding. The development of the new hospital will play an important role in the regeneration of the wider area and in improving the lives of local people and reducing health inequalities.

Electronic Disclosure Application System planned update
The Electronic Disclosure Application System will be taken offline for essential maintenance on Wednesday 5th June 2024 at 09:00 (BST). While the Electronic Disclosure Application System is offline, it will not be possible to complete and submit a DBS application.
This downtime will only affect those of you who need to submit a DBS application. The Electronic Disclosure Application System will be back online by the afternoon of Wednesday 5th June 2024.
The main Candidate Account Area will not be impacted or taken offline. You will still be able to log in to your candidate account to complete other tasks or apply for jobs.

Working within a team to provide a health promotion and illness prevention service to a local population, contributing to health needs assessments with individuals, families and groups
Sandwell School Health Nursing team is a service sitting within Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust they are innovative, unique and motivated health professionals. Who work tirelessly across the authority to support the school age population of Sandwell.

To work as a member of the School Nursing team participating in health needs assessments as directed by the School Nurse Specialist Practitioner.
To undertake other duties commensurate with this grade of post in agreement with the relevant line manager
