Job overview
We have positions available for a Coffee Shop Manager to join the team at The Health & Wellbeing Centre. As part of this role, you will be required to maintain the standards of cleanliness as specified throughout the work areas, by means of approved methods.
Please note that it is a requirement of NHFML that all successful applicants pay for their own DBS certificate, if a DBS check is required for the post. The method of payment is a salary deduction from your first monthly pay.
The Catering Supervisor is responsible for the effective day to day control and direction of all catering assistants in that area. Furthermore they are responsible for the provision of a high quality and efficient, customer orientated catering service and compliance with the Trust Patient Confidentiality Policy.
The post holder will act as a role model to members of the Catering department, offering support and guidance to other staff within the department, following the principles of compassionate and collective leadership.

The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, checking for quality, temperature and correct quantity as per order to suppliers, and the storage of such goods in the appropriate area within the time limits set out in the department policy on Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP).
To be able to demonstrate the ability to serve food to staff and to be able to check temperature levels and be aware of the Food Temperature Regulations.
To act as working Coffee Shop Manager assisting with all catering duties and to assist in the co-ordination of the Catering Services to the Catering Manager.
Responsible for ensuring that provisions, and non capital equipment and materials are ordered in accordance with the Trust’s procedures.
Responsible for allocating shifts, organizing rotas and completing control sheets.
Must have good communication skills and have an awareness of the appropriate image
Operating the central dish wash machine, cleaning, drying and checking of the staff/ward crockery and cutlery.
Preparation of vegetables, fruits and salads.
Preparation and dispatch of meals.
Service of food in restaurant.
Service of food in the Dining Room and associated areas and preparation of sandwiches, hot snacks and beverages where applicable.
The cleaning and re-stocking of vending machines.
Operation of the Staff Dining Room cash register.
