The United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (ULTH) is one of the largest trusts in the country. Through four main hospitals we provide a comprehensive range of hospital-based medical, surgical, paediatric, obstetric and gynaecological services to the 700,000 people of Lincolnshire.
We provide a wide range of healthcare services delivered by 8,600 highly trained staff and volunteers. Our services cost over £400m each year to provide and we invest around £18m each year in improving our clinical services by replacing and upgrading our medical equipment, modernising our estate and facilities and improving our information and technology infrastructure. In an average year, we treat more than 180,000 A&E patients, nearly half a million outpatients and almost 100,000 inpatients.

For all other Medical Workforce positions, the full-time entitlement commences from 27 days per annum.
- Bank working: The chance to work extra hours at enhanced rates and we will pay you weekly too, ideal if your income needs a quick boost.

These are trainee apprentice posts, where upon qualification you will hold the position of Assistant Practitioner in Radiography.
The training will involve weekly day release attendance at Birmingham University and practical training in the respective radiology departments in the Trust in order to acquire the qualification - FdSc Health and Social Care (Diagnostic Radiography), which will be fully funded by the Trust via the Apprenticeship levy.
Commencing in September 2023, the course will be delivered over an 18month period during which successful applicants will be expected to undertake significant study in their own time in addition to off-the-job training provided as part of the apprenticeship.
Upon qualification as an Assistant Practitioner, you will work to a defined scope of practice, which we believe to be the widest skill mix in the UK at the current time, whereupon you will graduate to Band 4 once competency assessments have been successfully completed.
The successful candidates will be based at Lincoln County Hospital, Pilgrim Hospital Boston, and Grantham Hospital but will be required to rotate to our satellite sites. The ability to travel between sites is essential.
The successful candidate will be required to participate in the 24/7 out of hours service delivery which includes working in the x-ray, theatre and mobile environments including working at night and weekends as part of a fully compliant 7 day service across Radiology.
