Job overview
Would you like to be part of a progressive department that's leading the way in modernised booking and reporting systems? Do you have a good standard of education with experience of customer relations work? Are you a great team player with strong organisational skills and the ability to work unsupervised and take responsibility for your own workload, often to tight deadlines? Then the Radiology team would like to hear from you.
Radiology is a milestone in the patient pathway and, as technologies continue to improve and demand increases, the Trust's Radiology department is becoming one of the busiest and most exciting areas of the hospital to work. Join us as an Appointment Booking Coordinator/Receptionist and you could soon be part of a dedicated booking and reception service team that's focused on reducing patient’s waits and providing a seamless, high quality service.
Advert
You will be customer focused and calm under pressure, you will have good verbal and written communication skills and be able to cope with a changing/evolving environment and work systems. Computer literacy is also important, although training will be provided on our Radiology Information system (CRIS), as well as other Trust applications.
The radiology department is a 24/7 service therefore the successful candidate will be expected to work some evenings (not nights) and weekends on a rota basis for which enhanced payments will be made along with time off in lieu.
Working for our organisation
MFT is England’s largest NHS Trust with a turnover of £2.5bn & is on a different scale than most other NHS Trusts. We’re creating an exceptional integrated health & social care system for the 1 million patients who rely on our services every year.

We’ve also created a digitally enabled organisation to improve clinical quality, patient & staff experience, operational effectiveness & driving research and innovation through the introduction of Hive; our brand-new Electronic Patient Record system which we’ve launched in September 2022.
We’re proud to be a major academic Research Centre & Education provider, providing you with a robust infrastructure to encourage and facilitate high-quality research programmes. What’s more, we’re excited to be embarking on our new Green Plan which will set out how MFT continues to play its part in making healthcare more sustainable.
