Are you a positive, friendly and upbeat person who likes helping others? If so, we have the perfect role for you. Join our brilliant team as a Healthcare Support Worker. Healthcare Support Workers are the beating heart of our clinical teams providing essential support to people in our care. Alongside registered practitioners, you will be helping people struggling with their mental health, including issues such as self harm and suicidal thoughts and dementia. The job is really varied, as are the locations and work environments. For example, you could choose to work on an inpatient ward for older people in North Hykeham, Lincoln or to work in the community along the East Coast. There are many options available. The team is made up of nurses, doctors, occupational therapists and healthcare workers amongst others. We all work really closely together, supporting each other and getting on really well– it’s a bit like a big family! Our services run 24 hours a day and for some roles you may be needed to work shifts over 7 days. Of course, we can talk this through with you so we can look to fit around your commitments.

Teaching and supporting life skills, such as using public transport, paying for bills, managing a home to live independently, helping with personal care, shopping and meal preparation, engaging in hobbies/Interests and communicating with others. Providing emotional support for an individual and their families. Connecting with community resources and relationship building with other services. Assist in maintaining general and specific patient observations under the supervision of registered nursing staff. Facilitate and participate in recreational and physical activities in the provision of health and social care to service users. Provide direct physical, social and psychological care to service users. Support recovery to live as independently as possible to reach their optimal mental health. To build and maintain therapeutic relationships whilst maintaining boundaries. Alongside making a huge difference to our patients, you’ll get to work with some amazing people. It is flexible too and there’s plenty of training and job progression opportunities if you want them.
