An exciting opportunity has arisen in the CASHER (Child and Adolescent Support and Help Enhanced Response Team for a Band 4 practitioner to join us in a Bank position.
The role of the team is to assess children and young people who attend A+E in a mental health crisis and also offer urgent clinics to young people who may need mental health support
You will be working alongside a team of multi-disciplinary professionals with a wealth of knowledge
You will also be sign-posting young people to the relevant services and building relationships with the wider communities and teams

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
- Assist in the assessment of children, young people and their families, working at times unsupervised but under the direction of CASHER Senior Practitioners.
- Assist in carrying out a range of therapeutic approaches as required by the CASHER Team, referring complex issues to senior staff.
- Assist in the organising, delivery and evaluation of specific interventions i.e. groups for children, young people and parents/carers.
- Assist in offering general advice and support to children young people and parents appropriate to the grade and level of competence.
- Assist in working collaboratively with all agencies and professionals in meeting the mental health needs of children and adolescents.
- To work in a variety of settings e.g. Children’s Wards, Adolescent Unit, A&E, school clinic, school, client’s own home and community groups.
- To maintain an up to date knowledge of child protection procedures and implement them as appropriate.
- Maintain a high standard of record keeping at all times.
- Attend and participate in regular meetings within the service.

Should you withdraw your application, you may be required to reimburse the cost of the DBS check.
DBS checks remain free of charge for volunteer positions.
