Job overview

Our expert teams within YTHFM provide specialist services to healthcare organisations in a whole range of areas from catering and cleaning, waste management to maintenance of medical equipment and buildings and infrastructure.
This key post within YTHFM will allow the appointed candidate to play an important role in delivering our service across the Trust.
We require an enthusiastic team player who will be an ambassador for technological innovation as a means of improving patient experience in safe, affordable and compliant healthcare settings.
The post will report to YTHFM’s Assistant Head of Estates and will undertake the operational management of key IT systems within the Estates and Facilities departments.
The Systems will support the full lifecycle management of our services including new build / service design, mobilisation, delivery, forward planning, compliance management and decommissioning.
You will have a track record of collaborating with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders in order to deliver results and be able to work in complex environments and multiple concurrent workstreams.
Suitable candidates will be professionally qualified and ideally hold a relevant Degree or have equivalent experience. Experience or knowledge of Estates & Facilities IT systems in the Public sector is desirable.

The post holder will be responsible for the management, implementation, and operation of the Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) IT systems across the Trust as part of the Resources Division, supporting and monitoring performance to ensure the highest levels of service are delivered to the Trust by minimising the effects and impact of defective and faulty property and assets.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the developing new ways of working, focusing on performance improvement to develop new ways of working through projects to modernise the services within their own remit, working on their own initiative without direct supervision, and also working in collaboration with authorised persons (APs) across Estates and Facilities within their specialist areas, to ensure the CAFM system fits the purpose and needs of the organisation.

YTHFM LLP is a partnership between York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Northumbria Healthcare Facilities Management Limited.
New starters will be employed by YTHFM and not directly by the NHS, however, they will enjoy the same terms and conditions as NHS staff covered by Agenda for Change. YTHFM employees have access to the NHS pension scheme.

DBS Checks
Please be aware that all new employees starting work with us will be charged for the cost of their DBS check if it is required for the role.
