This is an exciting opportunity for a developing inspirational leader to become the Ward Manager of Ward F6 at North Manchester General hospital. Ward F6 is an 18 bedded Orthopedic ward ward  which delivers care to patients pre and post operatively. 

 The post offers an exciting opportunity to develop skills with elective and emergency surgical patients, working alongside the multidisciplinary team and advanced clinical practitioners.  This is an ideal opportunity for leadership development to successfully lead a nursing team to deliver excellent care and professional standards as part of a supportive directorate within the surgery division. 

The post holder will lead all aspects of professional nursing practice at ward level including line management of the ward team, staff budget resources and management of the ward environment with a focus on quality and safety. You will have the opportunity to develop and advance your own skills with the support from the Matron and the Lead Nurse. 

To apply for this post you must have substantial experience at band 6 level and be a positive role model.  Surgical experience is essential and applicants with demonstrable leadership skills and experience within an acute setting are encouraged to apply.
