Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is situated on the west coast of Lancashire, with services covering the local authority areas of Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre. The Trust is part of the Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care System (ICS) supporting a population of around 1.6 million people.
We have three main hospitals providing acute services to around 330,000 local residents. The organisation also provides specialist tertiary care for cardiac and haematology services, delivers community health services to over 445,000 residents including those in North Lancashire and hosts the National Artificial Eye Service across England. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our innovative, progressive and dynamic team. As a Band 5 Physiotherapist you will play a key role in the provision of high quality physiotherapy services. Offering a wide variety of clinical experience with rotations in:
A newly created rotation within Frailty alongside our established rotations in Cardiothoracic Surgery, Critical Care, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, MSK, Community Neuro (off site), Acute Stroke Rehabilitation Unit, Medicine (General, Respiratory, Haematology/Oncology/Gastro), Care of the Older Person, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Clifton Rehabilitation (off site).
You will be guided and well supported by senior and clinically specialised staff, engaging in regular supervision, objectives and appraisal to enhance your personal and professional development.
As a rotational Band 5 Physiotherapist you will be required to take part in delivering a quality Physiotherapy Service in balance with working clinically alongside Consultants and other members of the Multidisciplinary Team. You will need to be enthusiastic, forward thinking and have a problem solving approach to patient management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to support other team members is essential.

You will be responsible for the provision of Physiotherapy assessment, intervention and discharge planning of patients with multiple and sometimes complex diagnoses. You will also work collaboratively with other members of the multi-disciplinary team in order to provide a holistic patient centred service, working towards shared goals and a safe and timely discharge.
You will be expected to participate in weekend working and on call rotas on a rota basis.
You will be required to have a full clean UK driving licence and access to a car for off site rotations.
