It is widely recognised that Health Visitors have a positive impact upon family mental health. In light of this, the Greenwich 0-4 Service is recruiting a Specialist Health Visitor in Perinatal and Infant Mental Health for the Family Hubs.
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Health Visitor who is passionate about Perinatal & Infant Mental Health (PIMH) to support the expansion and delivery of system-wide PIMH and Parent-Infant Relationship interventions. The post has been funded for two years as part of the government Family Hub Agenda.
The post is for three days per week and the successful candidates will work closely with the Family Hubs and form part of the Public Health Nursing Leadership Team.
Perinatal mental ill health is common and can have a devastating impact on women and their families. Supporting maternal and family mental health is designated as one of six high-impact areas for health visiting. The role of Specialist Health Visitors in PIMH is considered pertinent in providing primary prevention and early intervention for PIMH, principally by providing expertise to the wider workforce and in developing and implementing integrated pathways to support families.

Working for our organisation
This is an exciting time to join the Triborough Public Health Nursing service during a period of reimagining how we deliver Health Visiting.
