An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, motivated, and enthusiastic individual with excellent interpersonal be an Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) and Business Continuity Officer based and at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT). The post holder will act as the lead EPRR business partner and work as part of a team under the EPRR Manager and Head of |Service.

The role is offered on a permanent basis and will be based primarily across the Trust sites, our EPRR office is at Headquarters on Oxford Road in Manchester City Centre.

Under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 (CCA) the Trust is designated as a category 1 responder with key emergency response duties.  Under the Act the Trust is required to ensure it has robust plans for EPRR including business continuity, critical and major incidents.  In addition, the Trust is required to meet the core standards for EPRR as set out in the NHSE EPRR Framework 2015.

To support the EPRR Manager in the development, implementation and testing of Trust and Hospital / MCS plans, ensuring exercises are undertaken to meet the requirements as set out in the NHSE EPRR Framework.

Supports the EPRR Manager in undertaking the annual self-assessment against the EPRR Core Standards, including collection of evidence, development of action plans to improve areas of non-compliance and ongoing monitoring to mitigate areas of risk or non-compliance

Responsible for working with Hospitals / MCS to ensure effective business continuity plans are in place, these are reviewed and maintained on a regular basis and tested, ensuring the Group meets the needs of NHSE EPRR guidance.

To work collaboratively with the EPRR Manager, and the EPRR Site Forums to support and develop the EPRR Site Forums. Supporting the building of resilience, capability, knowledge and awareness and to promote and raise the profile of EPRR within the Hospitals / MCS.
