Job overview
Would you like to influence the development of Paediatric Critical Care across multiple hospitals? Promoting a care closer to home model?
The Thames Valley and Wessex Operational Delivery Network has secured funding for a permanent Band 7 educator for Paediatric Critical Care, the role will initially focus on the development of Level 2 (HDU) critical cares outside of our tertiary centres of Oxford and Southampton . This will involve benchmarking and development of project plans with providers, recognising any common areas of challenge in achieving the Paediatric Critical Care standards for education and escalating these as required. You will work collaboratively with the current Level 2 course providers to review, support, and develop the current programmes to ensure it is sustainable and accessible to the whole network.
The Operational Delivery Network consists of 17 hospitals (15 DGH and 2 Tertiary), with the aim to designate Level 2 providers imminently. The Thames Valley and Wessex Operational Delivery Network is hosted by Oxford University Hospitals, however accountability for their workplan sits with NHSE and should align with national and regional directives. The role will be a home working role, however the ability to travel across the network is essential to the role and expenses will be reimbursed as per NHS terms and conditions.
