We are looking for an exceptional nurse who is experienced, innovative and committed to making a real difference to quality improvement and patient experience. This is a key nursing post, supporting the Lead Nurse for Quality Improvement and Patient Experience, WTWA and the Head of Nursing for Corporate Nursing Services, WTWA and Divisional Nursing Teams to develop our nursing colleagues to a new level of excellence. This post sits within the WTWA Corporate Nursing Team.
You will be an experienced nurse with leadership experience and possess a proven record of delivering high quality care for patients. You will be a highly visible leader, able to evidence how you have positively influenced nursing and patient care and have experience of change management and are able to demonstrate ongoing professional development.

The successful candidate will be expected to support the Lead Nurse Quality Improvement and Patient Experience in the development and delivery of the quality improvement work streams and continuous improvements in standards of patient care and experience across WTWA.
The role will involve delivering Improvement Programmes that are designed to bring about service transformation ensuring sustainable outcomes are monitored and achieved, hence contributing to the key quality and performance outcomes within the organisation.
You will have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to command credibility. The patient experience will be a priority for you with an emphasis on compassion and dignity. You will work within and be supported by the WTWA Corporate Nursing team.
The successful candidate should be enthusiastic, with leadership experience and people management skills. They must be able to demonstrate evidence-based practice and knowledge of the current healthcare agenda.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The post holder will report to the Lead Nurse Quality Improvement and Patient Experience, supporting the provision of visible leadership across the four Hospital sites, monitoring and maintaining professional high
standards. S/he is an innovative practitioner committed to improving the patient/client experience, improving standards of care and services, leading the nursing contribution at a senior level in line with the Midwifery and AHP Strategy and Values and Behaviours.
The post holder will be a member of the WTWA senior nursing team providing support to implement and monitor progress on delivery of strategic objectives to ensure the provision of high quality, patient and
family centered services.
You will provide professional and clinical nursing advice and actively contribute to innovative solutions to quality improvement.
The Matron will support the Lead Nurse Quality Improvement and Patient Experience in the development and delivery of the quality improvement work streams and continuous improvements in standards of patient
care and experience across WTWA.
You will be responsible for supporting improvement work streams and projects across WTWA both responding to and contributing to informing the local and national policy agenda on quality improvement, harm free care and themes from complaints, contributing to the overall patient experience.
The post holder will deputise for the Lead Nurse in managing human and financial resources and line management several teams, for example dementia, falls and complaints ensuring key performance indicators are met and services are patient/family/carer focused, high quality and responsive.
The post holder will deliver Improvement Programmes that are designed to bring about service transformation ensuring sustainable outcomes are monitored and achieved, hence contributing to the key quality and performance outcomes within the organisation.
You`ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams and relevant departments internal and external to the Trust, to ensure the delivery of responsive individualised patient care developing and supporting nursing staff to respond to the transforming nursing agenda.
The post holder will have line management responsibility of the WTWA Complaints and Patient Experience Team.
