The North West Genomic Laboratory Hub (NWGLH) has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as an Apprentice Assistant Genetic Technologist. Please note that this post will be based at the Liverpool site of the NWGLH (Liverpool Women’s Hospital). The NWGLH is a high regarded, UKAS accredited NHS clinical service provider of genomics to a population of 7.2 million people in the northwest of England, as well as a wide range of national and international specialist referrals.

As an apprentice you will be working towards achieving the skills, knowledge and behaviours required to fulfil the role of an Assistant Genetic Technologist. This role provides a foundation on which you can progress into and pursue a successful career within diagnostic genomics. You will need to possess a minimum Level 2 (GCSE) in Maths and English. Science -based qualifications and/or A-level qualifications would be desirable. Applicants who do not have a science-based degree are also welcome to apply.
