Job overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and individual, who is an excellent team player, with excellent organisational and communication skills to join our friendly team of aseptic service pharmacists. You must be able to work accurately, quickly and under pressure, have a good eye for detail, be able to prioritise your workload to meet deadlines and be committed to deliver a high standard patient focused service.
This role will include Saturday and Bank Holiday working as part of a rota a. The post will be based at the Wythenshawe site however there may be a requirement to work across site as required to support our other aseptic units.

Our unit provides cytotoxic chemotherapy, parenteral nutrition, CIVAs items for adult patients.
You will assist in the day to day running of the aseptic services unit, including aseptic verification of prescriptions in EPIC, release of products and quality activities. You will support development of documentation for new products including investigational medicinal products and support related validation work in the EPIC system. You will also support service developments within aseptic services.
You must be a highly motivated individual with experience in aseptic services. As a valued member of the Pharmacy team you will be encouraged to develop your management skills and maximise your potential ensuring continuous development and knowledge of Pharmacy Aseptic Services.

- Vocational Masters degree in Pharmacy or equivalent
- Current membership of General Pharmaceutical Council
- Job related post-graduate qualification e.g. clinical diploma or equivalent vocational experience

- Post qualification experience in a relevant role practicing as a pharmacist, including experience in an aseptic services unit
