Job overview
You will be responsible for the first line management of the Domestic team within the department. You will be responsible for delivering high quality services in a cost effective manner, implementing best practice solutions to inform and support continuous service improvement models: monitoring service provision; ensuring a prompt effective response to any service failures; ensuring a high quality environment is maintained for our patients, staff and visitors.
To oversee the day-to-day activity in the domestic and portering department, ensuring that
the service is delivered according to the service specification. Allocation of existing staff and
resources to ensure smooth running of the service.

A position has now become available for a Domestic Supervisor, Band 3 at Altrincham Hospital working as part of the Estates and Facilities Team.
The job entails working within a very busy department where no day is ever the same. If you are an organised, self-motivated, pro-active, problem solving individual then this is the post perfect for you. You will be responsible for the efficient day to day operation of the Domestic Service Team for the Trafford Division in liaison with the wider Clinical Teams
You will be responsible for the first line management of the Domestic team within the department. The post holder must have supervisory experience with Domestic service and desirable would be experience of working within the Facilities services within the NHS.
The post is part time 30hours per week and does involve working and early start of 7am

- Able to complete quality control documentation accurately and to a schedule.
- Providing advice, instruction or training to groups where the subject matter is straightforward
- Able to plan staff deployment, including managing rotas and allocating leave, ensuring continuous cover, within budget restraints.
