Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is situated on the west coast of Lancashire, with services covering the local authority areas of Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre. The Trust is part of the Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care System (ICS) supporting a population of around 1.6 million people.
We have three main hospitals providing acute services to around 330,000 local residents. The organisation also provides specialist tertiary care for cardiac and haematology services, delivers community health services to over 445,000 residents including those in North Lancashire and hosts the National Artificial Eye Service across England. Plus, we provide urgent and emergency care services to an estimated 18 million people who visit the seaside resort each year. We employ over 7000 people from 68 different countries.

The post holder will be responsible for assisting in the provision of high quality Multi-Professional learning environments within Blackpool Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust; and will be required to work locally with services where inter-professional learning opportunities can be promoted. The post holder will support the Practice Education Facilitator and team by contributing to the delivery of the Quality Assurance Framework for the Allied Health Professions Workforce within the organisation, with a focus on both Acute and Community Settings.

Band 6 Associate Practice Education Facilitator AHP
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a HCPC registered Allied Health Professional to join the Practice Education Facilitator (PEF) team. This role is to provide support to the PEF Lead for Allied Health within the organisation at Blackpool Victoria Hospital.
The PEF team provide support to supervisors, assessors, educators and healthcare learners who are undertaking university programmes of study whilst on clinical placements here at the Trust. The role includes supporting all learners including , allied health professionals, nurses, apprenticeship and work experience learners.
The post holder will contribute to the provision of high quality Multi-Professional learning environments within Blackpool Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust. You will take an active role in ensuring the sustainability of learning and contribute to local and national conferences and working groups. The post holder will be required to work locally and across boundaries with services where inter-professional learning opportunities are promoted in line with the Quality Assurance Framework.
The successful candidate will be a HCPC registered healthcare professional with a mentor/educator qualification. The candidate will also have extensive NHS experience with a minimum of 3 years experience post registration.
