Job overview
Who is the scheme for? University College London Hospitals are seeking top class leaders of the future with the potential to make a difference at one of the biggest and most reputable NHS trusts in the country. We ask for at least a 2.2 degree in any subject, and applications are welcome from those with clinical and non-clinical NHS backgrounds. There is no age limit but a hunger to improve services and commitment to the NHS are essential.

Starting in September 2024 the LMTS scheme lasts for 24 months and is inclusive of two placements. Throughout their placements trainees will develop skills such as project and financial management, service improvement, managing teams, leadership and change management.

Developing your Leadership Skills
As part of the scheme you will undertake a formal leadership programme leading to a Post-Graduate Diploma in Leadership. You will receive a tailored development plan to develop your leadership and management skills. You will have the support of a mentor & will be part of an action learning set with fellow trainees. These are all designed to complement the practical skills developed while on placement, and to augment your natural desire to improve our patients’ services and become a great leader.
Where will the scheme be located? Your placements could take place across any of UCLH’s sites, including UCH Tower, Queen Square & Westmoreland Street.

The UCLH Leadership Model will underpin your journey on the Leadership and Management Training Programme (LMTS), and for the purpose of shortlisting we will be assessing applications against the four essential dimensions of the UCLH Leadership Model which are;
