Job overview
The London Sarcoma Service is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic Improvement Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced project manager to join a vibrant and supportive sarcoma multi-disciplinary team.
This is a joint post between UCLH and RNOH and the post holder will be joining the Cancer Division at UCLH and the Division of Orthopaedic Oncology & Specialist Hip and Knee Unit at RNOH.
The successful candidate will work closely with the London Sarcoma Service Executive to facilitate, manage and evaluate service development and to drive change across the service. The specialist nature of sarcoma offers a great opportunity for the post holder to develop and embed complex pathways and to build relationships with key stakeholders across organisational boundaries.
The Sarcoma Improvement Manager will play a key role in supporting managers and clinical staff across the service to deliver on projects focused on improving service delivery and delivering the best outcomes for patients. They will assist the Sarcoma Advisory Group Project Manager in ensuring that the MDT is adhering to the requirements outlined in National Sarcoma Service Specification.

Excellent organisational and time-management skills will be essential to the role but we are also looking for creativity, energy and compassion and a commitment to continuous improvement and sharing of best practice. The ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders will be paramount for the post holder to achieve improvement in processes and patient outcomes.
Successful candidates will have substantial experience in working on or leading projects, process re-design and data analysis and reporting. They will be able to work autonomously and be confident in writing and presenting reports to a variety of audiences to promote and encourage discussion and agreement.
