You will be responsible for evolving our approach to system transformation, focussing on the development of Place (including Locality working), Provider Collaboratives and Portfolios. You will lead the refresh of our joint forward plan and manage key strategic relationships to deliver our four core purposes. You will be ICB and System Executive lead for our Children & Young People Portfolio and ICB lead for our Mental Health, Learning Disability and Autism Portfolio, and our End of Life, Long Term Conditions and Frailty Portfolio.
You will work closely with other Executive Team members and build partnerships and collaborations with wider system leaders, imagining strategic, ambitious and non-traditional approaches that improve clinical outcomes and drive reductions in health inequalities for our population.

The Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent NHS Integrated Care Board (ICB) is responsible for planning functions; managing the NHS budget and arranging the provision of health services in the geographical area.
New starters are expected to collect IT equipment, from offices in Stoke-on-Trent, and if based at home are required to have appropriate desk/chair/ relevant equipment in compliance with DSE regulations
Posts at Band 8c and above, will take part in the On-call rota, flexible over 7 days, supporting the System Control Centre, with full training provided.

The Chief Transformation Officer is part of the executive team who will lead the evolution of the ICS on behalf of the Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent system. Working collaboratively and across organisational boundaries at the highest level across the System ensuring that the approach to integrated commissioning and leading at scale transformation workstreams, develops in line with the ambitions of the System in the coming years.
The postholder is accountable to the Chief Executive and will lead on all matters relating to transformation including strategic service change, service transformation and integration. The Chief Transformation Officer is the ICB Executive lead accountable for seamless transition of delegated commissioning (from NHSE/I), strategic and integrated commissioning, PLACE & Locality Working, Provider collaborative development, leadership of three System Portfolios and the evolution of the new procurement regime for the System.

- Ability to demonstrate a proven track record in partnership development
- Experience of managing complex portfolios for a large complex organisation

- Experience of managing highly sensitive situations with multiple stakeholders
- Experience of managing relationships with the media, political stakeholders and the public
- Experience of providing leadership, mentorship, and professional development at a very senior level with demonstrable outcomes
- Experience of developing and implementing System, corporate and operational strategies that balance completing and multiple priorities
- Experience of successfully working with clinicians and other providers to secure improvements to health care services
- Experience of effective joint working with other statutory, voluntary, or private sector organisations
- Experience of working in several different parts of the health and care system
- Ability to demonstrate improvements to equality, diversity inclusion, and social justice through evidence based reported information
