Guy’s and St Thomas’ is among the UK’s busiest and most successful NHS foundation trusts. Guy’s is home to the largest dental school in Europe and a £160 million Cancer Centre opened in 2016. Evelina London cares for local children in Lambeth and Southwark and provides specialist services across south east England including cardiac, renal and critical care services. We lead a number of specialist service networks aiming to ensure children are treated locally where possible, but have access to specialist expertise when they need it. Our community services include health visiting, school nursing and support for families of children with long-term conditions.
Our adult community services teams deliver care at the heart of the local communities we serve, working in partnership with GPs, local authorities and other healthcare and voluntary sector organisations. Working with our partners in Lambeth and Southwark, we are focusing on new ways of working to improve care for local patients.

Job overview
Job Summary
This post is open to all postgraduate doctors in training currently enrolled in the London School of Anaesthesia. The minimum requirement for eligibility is the Primary FRCA. Speciality trainees have the option to undertake this fellowship on a LTFT basis, adhering to the criteria of unique opportunities or flexibility for training and career development, or Out of Programme. It is advised to consult with your TPD before submitting an application.
The post holder will collaborate with key stakeholders, including the Head of School, Deputy Head of School, Anaesthetic TPDs, School Leads in Trainee Recovery, Simulation, and Education, Trainee Representatives, and other relevant contributors. This will focus on crucial initiatives supporting trainees in teaching and education, as well as engaging in quality improvement work for our School. Additionally, the post holder will attend the Pan London School Board meeting regularly to provide feedback on the progress of these initiatives.
NHSE/WT&E operates in a dynamic environment where adjustments to the duties associated with the role may be required, with consultations taking place in collaboration with the post-holder. Actively participate in research initiatives within the field of Medical Education, contributing insights and findings that advance the understanding of effective teaching methodologies.

Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is a leading teaching hospital in London that provides tertiary and specialist care services for most specialties including cardiothoracic and vascular, airway, ENT/maxillofacial, paediatrics, women’s health, renal, cancer, gastrointestinal, plastics and orthopaedics.
