Job overview
Blackpool Teaching Hospitals are looking for a highly motivated and committed Band 6 physio to work within an integrated neighbourhood team. We require an enthusiastic individual with a can-do attitude, who has the ability to work within our friendly team putting high quality patient care first.
The successful candidate will be a part of the Wyre Community Therapy Team. Their role will include assessment, diagnosis, and treatment intervention for patients in the community. You will be responsible for supervising junior members of staff, including our physiotherapy apprentice programme. We have a robust in-service training programme and regular clinical supervision. Developmental opportunities will be considered for the right candidate. You should be motivated, keen to learn and ready to embrace change.
The team have recently been involved in projects to further enhance the patient experience. We would welcome any candidates with a desire for quality improvement and innovative ideas to work on and promote to apply.
The candidate will be a part of daily therapy huddles and supported by senior clinicians. We endeavour to provide opportunities for people to develop their knowledge and experience to support with career development.

There is a dedicated team of therapy staff who benefit from robust and well structure peer and 1:1 supervision. You also have the support of Far North Neighbourhood, Wyre Enhanced Primary Care Team Leader and the Senior therapists. Regular in-service training and supervision is provided, and we would expect the post holder to take an active role in both, with responsibility for the specific supervision of unqualified staff. You would hold an extensive caseload of routine and complex cases with responsibility for the assessment and treatment and delegation to other members of the team as appropriate.
The team is fully integrated, and we are looking for an enthusiastic member of staff with the flexibility for working with a wide range of conditions and situations. An excellent ability to communicate at the appropriate level, verbally and in writing, with colleagues, senior clinicians, carers, patients, and other stakeholders is essential. You must be both methodical and organised with skills in working under pressure, as part of a multi- professional and agency team and at times working in isolation.
The successful candidate must be able to undertake cross boundary working and manage a caseload.
