We are looking for a substantive Consultant Radiologist to join a friendly and cohesive team of radiologists with diverse expertise in a busy department and a strong record in teaching, mentoring and training. The applicant would be expected to join the existing radiologists in providing a comprehensive cross-sectional and diagnostic radiology service including a rostered night-time on-call service to address current department shortages.
This post is for a General Consultant Radiologist with particular subspeciality interest in Interventional Radiology, at Barts Health NHS Trust. A further subspecialty interest such as in Gynaecological or cardiac radiology, is encouraged & advantageous, as described within the person specification. The post will be primarily based at Whipps Cross University Hospital though cross-site working can be arranged.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate excellent general radiology skills including US, CT, plain film reporting, fluoroscopy and MRI, as well as having a subspecialty interest as above. Applicants must be GMC registered, with CCT in radiology (or within 6 months at time of interview) . There will be an on-call commitment – currently 1:16 (with scans performed between 8:30pm – 8:30am outsourced). Note this will be in general radiology.
Research and teaching activities are encouraged and supported by the active academic department and there is a highly successful training programme with registrars.
