We are looking for an experienced HCA to join our team of bank workers.

Clinical Duties
• To undertake venepuncture from patients in their own homes. Visit patients in order of priority as listed; there will be a maximum of two fasting patients at the beginning of the list, and one urgent. The phlebotomist will be expected to see up to 10 patients per daily session.
• To undertake Blood pressure from patients in their own homes.
• To maintain Knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to deliver a quality service that are responsive to the needs of patients.
• To report any changes in condition of the patient to the Team Leader or in their absence the designated nurse in charge of the caseload

Professional Standards

Conduct and demonstrate the Trust’s Values and Behaviours. Senior Managers must also comply with the NHS Code of Conduct for Managers, based on the Nolan principles of public accountability. All staff employed in recognised professions are required to ensure they work to the professional standards and/or Codes of Practice set out for their professional group. In addition staff are required to demonstrate the Customer Care Standards of the organisation.

- NVQ level 2 (care)
- Previous community experience
- Interest in working in community Nursing
- Knowledge of community practice to include venepuncture, monitoring of blood pressure.
- Able to cope with occasional exposure to distressing or emotional circumstances; chronic sick or disabled patients
- Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision
- Able to work under pressure
- Willingness to undertake training as appropriate to the post
- Able to work harmoniously with a diverse workforce and to deliver a quality service to people from different backgrounds, by including and embracing their varied needs
