As the Workforce Development Lead you will lead, manage and ensure the successful delivery of key Workforce Development projects ensuring that they lead to the right outcomes, within agreed timescales and resources.
Advert
You will project manage and deliver desired outcomes in accordance with quality, budget and timescale specifications thus performing a key role in keeping the programme on track to meet objectives. This will involve:
- Facilitating the development of project plans;
- Reviewing and understanding data to support the identification of key risks and issues
- Supporting delivery and facilitation of meetings and delivery
- Monitoring progress against priorities within the programmes;
- Supporting the identification, recording, monitoring and management of project risks and issues
- Producing reports and papers for meetings

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
You will be responsible for leading on the of scoping, defining and codesign of new projects which are key to delivery of workforce development priorities. With excellent oral and written communication skills you will have the ability to build effective working relationships. As an effective group facilitator, you will persuade, influence and challenge multi-disciplinary, and sometimes multi-organisational, teams in order to make plans and deliver milestones for projects.
As a well organised individual you will have the ability to work under pressure on a number of competing priorities whilst continuously learning and growing within the role in order to deliver on what is a constantly changing workforce agenda.
The portfolio of this role is widening participation. As the lead for this area you will oversee the Trusts approach to :
- engaging the local community and education establishments around health care careers
- work experience and clinical placements
- other entry to healthcare routes such as work placement programmes from the DWP and apprenticeships
- volunteering opportunities
Service Delivery
• To lead on key projects outlined within the Workforce Development Operational Plan.
• To engage with operational colleagues to understand their workforce challenges
• To support operational colleagues in reviewing their workforce and creating workforce improvement plans that identify key areas of concern and actions to address them.
• To engage and collaborate with colleagues across the HR Directorate to provide a multi-disciplinary approach to workforce support
Agree programme/project scope and definitions
• Lead the scoping, defining and codesign of new key priority projects and objectives for the above programmes with partners and programme managers

• Collate, analyse and present data to support the identification of workforce issues
