An exciting post has become available for a qualified ACP on our Acute Medical Unit and Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC)Unit. We are looking to appoint a dynamic enthusiastic practitioner into this post to help us in delivering our goal of delivering outstanding care and treatment to the community of Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde.
The successful candidate will join our established team of ACPs and will work long side the large MDT in delivering care across the acute medical footprint. This post holder will work within the 4 pillars of advanced practice to drive our services forward and deliver the best in NHS care.

The main duties of the post holder will need to be clinically focused and deliver outstanding evidenced based care to our patients. The post holder will clerk patients, plan and assess their care and then work within the larger team to discharge within agreed pathways.
The acute medical services are delivered across 3 areas; the AMU department which is a 35 bedded unit treating all range of medical presentations. The second area is the Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) The short stay ward. The post holder will be responsible for deliver care and treatment in both of these areas as patient demands change.

The post holder will be an independent practitioner working within the larger multi-disciplinary team (MDT). The MDT consists of the nursing, medical, pharmacy and IAT among others. The main responsibilities will be to direct patient care and treatment to ensure excellent services are provided to the patients. A large element of the role is service improvement and quality improvement initiatives to advance (s) our services forward. The post holder will be comfortable with change management and have a proven record of service development and or redesign within their portfolio.

You are encouraged where possible, to register for the DBS update service. This is an annual registration fee of £13. By registering for the update service you will not have the additional cost of repeated disclosures.
Should you withdraw your application, you may be required to reimburse the cost of the DBS check.
DBS checks remain free of charge for volunteer positions.
