Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is situated on the west coast of Lancashire, with services covering the local authority areas of Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre. The Trust is part of the Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care System (ICS) supporting a population of around 1.6 million people.
We have three main hospitals providing acute services to around 330,000 local residents. The organisation also provides specialist tertiary care for cardiac and haematology services, delivers community health services to over 445,000 residents including those in North Lancashire and hosts the National Artificial Eye Service across England. An opportunity has arisen for a Paediatric ward manager to join our Paediatric team, this role covers the children’s ward, adolescent ward, children’s assessment unit, children’s clinic, children’s day surgery and specialist nursing teams. You will work alongside a team of senior nurses dedicated to improving the experience of our patient and families.

The post holder will hold 24 hour responsibility for the nurse staffing of the paediatric unit
They will provide nurse leadership and management in order to maintain standards of care and quality of experience for children and young people within the unit
The post holder will continue to develop services provide governance assurance including audit, incident management, complaints , risks, safety and quality initiatives
The post holder will be flexible with their hours to provide support as needed and this may include evenings, nights and weekends
