Please note, there is an requirement for all positions at Bands 8b and above to be part of a On Call rota.

All new entrants to the ICB for a permanent position will be subject to a 6 month probationary period. For new entrants appointed on a fixed-term basis, the probationary period is between 1 and 6 months.

Qualifications

Essential criteria

• Qualified accountant with full membership and evidence of up-to-date continuing professional development.
• In-depth professional knowledge in a number of disciplines, e.g. financial management, contract management, staff management acquired through training and experience over extended period.
• Significant evidence of continued professional development.

Desirable criteria

• Experience of utilising health economics experience in a relevant role/setting and/or a relevant qualification.

Experience

Essential criteria

• Substantial deputy director level leadership experience and/or system leadership experience within a regulatory or similar environment is essential
• Experience of providing financial leadership, mentorship, and professional development at a very senior level with demonstrable outcomes.
• Proven Senior level experience of leading and delivering complex change and strategy development programmes in a politically sensitive and complex environment
• Experience of managing highly sensitive situations with stakeholders.
• Experience of managing relationships with the key stakeholders
• Experience of leading highly complex and contentious transformational change at a large scale .

Knowledge & Understanding

Essential criteria

• Extensive knowledge of the health, care and local government landscape and an understanding of the resourcing implications related to the social determinants of public health.
