We provide a full range of acute clinical services from Northampton General Hospital and Danetre Hospital in Daventry. We are a designated cancer centre and have recently invested in a number of additional specialist services, including in-patient renal services and interventional cardiology. All elective inpatients and emergency admissions are screened for MRSA. As part of our work to improve clinical outcomes we are taking part in a national patient safety programme and have invested in systems to capture patients views on the service we provide. We understand that sometimes a small change can make a big difference for patients.

Job overview
The Obstetrics Project Manager (fixed term, post holder) will play a pivotal role in the implementation of CNST within Obstetrics, managing the successful delivery of one or more of the modules that, together, make up the overall CNST. As part of a dynamic and agile team that is committed to our Vision ‘Dedicated to Excellence’, you will have significant personal opportunities to grow and develop, as well as to tangibly impact how care is delivered in the future.
The primary purpose of this role is to oversee the implementation of one, or more, modules that make up the CNST. Project managers will maintain detailed project plans, ensure stakeholders are engaged, ensure that risks are managed appropriately, and provide reporting into the Obstetrics senior leadership structure. This includes ensuring milestones are met and that their associated transformation change benefits are captured and measured.
The post holder must be experienced in managing complex change programmes and be competent with service level change, re-design, and transformation. Experience of working with agile methodologies will be an advantage. Travel to the hospital site will be required.
Advert
To identify as the point of escalation for all CNST safety action owners.
Create and deliver project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements, working to agile principles.
Ensure that benefits identification and management processes are integral to the management of projects.
To identify, plan and manage project resources and project information systems, to meet all key milestones and assign responsibilities accordingly.
Supports the review of CNST funding and where required review future funding solutions.
Identify risks and issues, reporting and responding to them in an appropriate manner through the CNST Lead, escalating as required. This includes the development of contingency plans.
Understand and mitigate complex issues that arise across various workstreams.
Ensure project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored. Documentation should include new information flows, system processes and business practices. Ensure reporting is developed for governance.

Communication
Communicate clearly, concisely and persuasively, verbally and in writing.

Deliver highly complex presentations to various Trust level staff 3.
Ensure adequate process analysis and design for new ways of working is undertaken with the involvement of stakeholders.

Persuade Board members to address best possible outcome Negotiate flexibly to ensure the best outcome for the patient and service staff.

Financial Management.
Produce written material and budgetary reports including for benefits realisation in conjunction with Finance colleagues.
Work with financial colleagues to recognise, monitor and manage financial spend within CNST assigned budget.
Manage the maternity incentive scheme funding aligned with CNST.
Professional/Personal Development.
The post holder will need to develop and maintain their own knowledge of
developments and legislation relevant to the service area and ensure that each function reflects current professional guidance and standards.
The post holder will take responsibility for his or her own professional development.
