This is an exciting and well supported opportunity for an enthusiastic Clinical or Counselling psychologist), HCPC registered (or on their way to registration ) to join our dynamic team in Crewe. You will be joining a small psychology team consisting of a Principal Clinical Psychologist, a Highly Specialist clinical psychologist, a CBT therapist and an Assistant  Psychologist. We also routinely offer trainee Clinical psychologist placements and/or other trainee therapy placement.

We welcome applications from candidates who wish to apply for Band 8A position but we also welcome applications from newly qualified Clinical or Counselling psychologists who wish to pursue a robust developmental pathway to an 8a position (usually achieved 2 years post qualification)

A commitment to ethical and trauma informed practice and a positive approach to recovery are very important for this post.

For the qualified 8A candidate supervision training is essential. 

The successful candidate will be supported to access formal psychological therapy training in modalities such as EMDR, CAT, SMC ,DBT, co-ordinated by Health Education England.

The successful candidate will be provided with extensive professional and clinical supervision frameworks and multiple opportunities to develop their specialist clinical (including developing/ enhancing therapeutic modalities) and professional skills through an extensive and well resourced CPD structure.

There will be close integrated links to the other Clinical Psychologists working a range of differing services across the trust.

To provide a highly specialist psychology service to clients with complex psychological and mental health presentations. To provide specialist psychological assessment and interventions as well as providing consultation and advice on clients’ psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to other, non-professional carers. To supervise trainees, assistant psychologists and other qualified psychological practitioners as agreed. To work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the service’s policies and procedures. To regularly engage with clinical supervision and CPD activities, according to professional registration requirements.
