Detailed job description and main responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY:
Provide a high standard of administrative support to the Workforce Team. To work under the direction of the HR Officer, HR Managers and HR Business Partners. To assist in the provision of a comprehensive, efficient, and effective Workforce Advisory Service.
Working from the Trust’s policies and procedures, provide basic advice and guidance to staff and line managers to resolve day to day workforce queries.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To be the first point of contact in providing basic advice and guidance on day-to-day workforce queries, working within the boundaries of the Trust’s Policies and Procedures, signposting when necessary and escalating to a senior colleague when appropriate.
- Provide a comprehensive administrative support service to the Workforce Team in all aspects of case work, projects, and Agenda for Change.
- Effective use of the IT systems to collage and produce the workforce management information/metrics, ie. appraisal and mandatory training figures etc.
- Take a proactive approach in arranging meetings and hearings within agreed timescales, liaising with those involved and securing appropriate rooms when required.
- Produce accurate records of minutes, either handwritten and/or typed, during meetings/hearings and distribute to the appropriate sources.
- Arrange dates and venues for training sessions and provide administrative support.
- Copy and issue hearing packs by the required deadlines.

Currently the charges are - Basic DBS check £22.00, Standard DBS check £22.00 and Enhanced DBS check £42.00.
You are encouraged where possible, to register for the DBS update service. This is an annual registration fee of £13. By registering for the update service you will not have the additional cost of repeated disclosures.
Should you withdraw your application, you may be required to reimburse the cost of the DBS check.
DBS checks remain free of charge for volunteer positions.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Essential criteria
- CPP qualification/CIPD level 3 or equivalent work experience
- Education to GCSE level or equivalent (including English qualification)
Desirable criteria
- NVQ level 3 in business/customer service field or equivalent qualifications
- IT qualification ie. ECDL
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
Essential criteria
