Job overview
We are looking for bank pharmacists to support our well established clinical pharmacy team at Withybush General Hospital. The hours of work will be varied and flexible.
You will work in an exceptionally friendly environment and be supported by experienced pharmacists. You will have the opportunity to provide dispensary based pharmacy services as well as ward based pharmacy services to a range of speciality areas.
Pharmacy department working hours: Monday to Friday 9am - 5.15pm, Saturday and Sunday 9am - 12.45pm

Withybush General Hospital is a busy district general hospital with approximately 270 beds. It provides a range of medical and surgical specialities including coronary care, acute stroke, trauma and orthopaedics, frailty, critical care and the emergency department. The clinical pharmacy service is well established and provides high quality care across all specialities.

You will be joining a team of experienced Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians and you will be expected to work as part of the multidisciplinary team to deliver a patient focused clinical pharmacy service.
You will be expected to undertake the role of responsible pharmacist when working as part of the dispensary team.

Our 11,000 members of staff provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services for around 384,000 people across a quarter of the landmass of Wales. We do this in partnership with our three local authorities and public, private and third sector colleagues, including our volunteers, through:
Four main hospitals: Bronglais General in Aberystwyth, Glangwili General in Carmarthen, Prince Philip in Llanelli and Withybush General in Haverfordwest;
Seven community hospitals: Amman Valley and Llandovery in Carmarthenshire; Tregaron, Aberaeron and Cardigan in Ceredigion; and Tenby and South Pembrokeshire Hospital Health and Social Care Resource Centre in Pembrokeshire;
48 general practices (four of which are managed practices), 47 dental practices (including three orthodontic), 99 community pharmacies, 44 general ophthalmic practices (43 providing Eye Health Examination Wales and 34 low vision services) and 17 domiciliary only providers and 11 health centres;
Numerous locations providing mental health and learning disabilities services;
Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.

- Masters degree in pharmacy (4 years) or equivalent experience or qualifications
- Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council
- Professional knowledge of medicines managements systems and process in an integrated NHS

- Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent experience or qualifications
