Job overview
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the Pharmacy Procurement, Stores and Distribution Team at Manchester University Foundation Trust.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our established Pharmacy Gases Team, working across MFT sites. Base site is to be determined.
Working closely with the Procurement, Stores and Distribution Lead, procurement team, stores team leaders and MFT estates teams, you will have the exciting task of managing the infrastructure of medical gases across MFT, including current and future sustainability practices, ensures medical gases are available for our patients, when needed.

Communication is key and the post holder will liaise both internally within Pharmacy and various departments within the Trust and externally with Gas Suppliers. You must be computer literate, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy, especially when working under pressure to deadlines.
The ideal candidate will be forward thinking and motivated, a problem solver who is adaptable, flexible and willing to learn new skills.
We will provide a comprehensive induction programme and you will participate in appraisals with a view to developing the appropriate knowledge and skills.

- GCSE Maths and English
- ECDL or equivalent

- NVQ2 or NVQ level 3 in Pharmacy Services
- Managerial qualification
- Project Management experience
Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of implementing HR policies and procedures.
- Proven experience of prioritising workload and working to deadlines
- Experience of working in a medical gas environment
- Evidence of managing a team
- Evidence of effectively managing skill mix within own team to ensure service delivery.
Desirable criteria
- Experience of Integra systems
- Hospital / Pharmacy Background
