The Projects Team at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust are looking for an Estates Capital Project Manager, experienced in working in all types of Mental Health buildings. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of HTM's and HBN's to Healthcare standards and legislation. CDM2015 to Health & Safety at work, especially working on Constructions live sites.
You'll join our experienced team in managing the delivery of our exciting and ambitious Capital Programme.
This is a rare and exciting opportunity where you can help build the future of the NHS for the population of Sussex.
The role is Monday to Friday with the occasional need to work out of hours at key points of a project and to undertaken on-call duties as part of the Estates and Facilities on-call service.

You'll use your experience of working with HTM, HBN's and CDM 2105, to take the lead in project managing medium or small scale projects including feasibility, procurement, design, construction, commissioning and bringing into use of complex capital investment schemes across the Trust's diverse estate.
The team supports projects to improve environments in any of our mental health services across Sussex.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To succeed in this role, you will need to be an experienced Project Manager, who is a creative problem solver, with a great organisational approach and clear, confident communication skills underpinned by a solid background in construction design and project management.
The role purpose is to project manage the feasibility, procurement, design, construction, commissioning and bringing into use of complex capital investment schemes across the Trusts estate and to support the Head of Projects and Deputy Director, in the delivery of the Capital Programme projects allocated to the Capital Projects Team.
You will have the satisfaction of being able to see a project through from beginning to end with the knowledge that your work is having a positive impact on patient care.
To fulfil the role, the postholder will need to work closely with a range of internal colleagues and stakeholders and in particular the Estates & Facilities Team, Infection Control, Digital, Operational Clinical Teams and end Users.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Educated to degree level in an engineering/construction related discipline.
- A chartered or incorporated engineer/member of a building/construction related professional organisation or have other equivalent appropriate qualifications and experience.
- Formal qualification and/or substantial working knowledge of AutoCAD, and MS Project.
- Construction / management training across an appropriate range of general management.
Knowledge/Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of managing NHS Estates capital projects, including planning, design, specification, cost control and contract management of a range of projects
- Have sound technical knowledge and experience of using HTM & HTMs to Healthcare Standards and legislation applicable to the design and construction of Health Buildings and their services, including the Building Regulations and Capital Investment Manual, Estatecode and Concode procedures.
- Have experience of briefing, commissioning and monitoring solicitors, architects, building surveyors, services engineers, structural engineers, quantity surveyors and other consultants
- Have knowledge and experience of the RIBA stages and producing the project documentation for the relevant stage
- Excellent knowledge and experience of CDM 2015 and other Health & Safety Legislation, especially working on live construction sites
