We are currently looking for a Band 5 Community Physiotherapist to join our in-patient bedded rehabilitation unit and our community neuro rehab and Home Pathway services. These posts will rotate on a 6 monthly basis between the above services.
The roles involve working as part of a multidisciplinary team and prescribing physiotherapy programs to patients in a range of clinical settings including a rehab gym, patient’s homes and one to one sessions on the ward.
You will receive regular in-service trainings and participate in consultant led MDT meetings. You will also receive regular supervision from a band 6, or above, physiotherapist.
As a representative of Bromley Healthcare you will be expected to contribute to the successful achievement of the organisation and business plan objectives, providing outstanding patient service and demonstrating commitment to the organisation’s core standards.

Bromley Healthcare are now providing a thorough rotational program for Band 5 physiotherapists. These are 6 monthly rotations across both in-patient and community based services. The Band 5s are supported through a monthly in-service program provided for all rehab therapists and additionally a monthly Band 5 peer supervision group which is over seen by a Band 7 physiotherapist. Furthermore, you will receive an annual appraisal and regular one to one supervisions with your assigned supervisor.
The aim of the rotations is to provide each Band 5 with a comprehensive first-hand experience of working in large multidisciplinary teams in both a busy in-patient environment to developing the skills of lone working in a community setting.
The post holders will promote independence utilising rehabilitation and enablement interventions, working collaboratively with a vast range of key health and social care teams and services.
Your role will encompass completing assessment and treatment plans, leading group education and treatment and liaising with relevant advocacy and other Bromley Healthcare services

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Supervision of rehab assistants.
Individual caseload management and supervision of band 4 caseload management.
Carrying out detailed and timely appraisals for the rehab assistants in keeping with KPI’s.
Providing specific physiotherapy interventions tour patients in a gym environment, on a one to one basis or in group classes.
Completing a datix for any incidents that arise.
Responsible for the timely discharge of patients on your caseload. This will be supported by the band 6 management team.
Participate in the consultant led MDT.
With our recent move to Queen Mary’s Hospital this is a new exciting opportunity to further develop the physiotherapy service we provide to our patients. The post holder will be expected to assist in running new therapy groups, delivering tailored exercise programs to their patients and jointly working with the occupational therapists to achieve the patient’s goals.
- Participate in the in-service trainings and deliver a presentation relevant to your area of practice.
- Participating in family meetings to ensure the best possible discharge plan for our patients.
- Participate in the monthly in-service training program and the monthly band 5 supervision group.
