This is an exciting opportunity for an Expert by Experience to be part of the Greater Manchester Autism Hub training team. Autistic adults, or adults with significant lived experience of Autism, who are experienced in delivering neurodiversity training to NHS and other professionals, are invited to apply for this role, which will involve co-producing and delivering training around Autism, neurodiversity and related service improvement across Greater Manchester.

The job will involve finding out training needs, co-producing training materials with practitioners and neurodivergent children and young people, and delivering training and consultation both face to face and on virtual platforms. It will also involve being part of a multi-disciplinary CAMHS team, supporting participation and engagement work with neurodivergent children and families.

- Understanding of the principles of Clinical and Information Governance and a willingness to follow Trust Policy and Procedures. Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Understanding of Trust safeguarding procedures. Ability to present written information concisely and clearly. Ability to present verbal information concisely and clearly. Excellent organisational skills. Completer- finisher – able to follow tasks through to a conclusion. Ability to prioritise tasks. Excellent IT skills, including the ability to use virtual platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Awareness of the challenges faced by young autistic people and their families and willingness to empathise with these challenges, Willingness to adapt communication style to meet the needs of a neurotypical and a neurodivergent audience, Having attitudes, beliefs and values which fully support neurodiversity and willingness to make reasonable adjustments to support those with neurodiversity.
