We believe all colleagues have a part to play in reflecting our values. These have been developed by teams across the Trust and provide a framework for our behaviours: we aim to show Kindness, Integrity, Teamwork and Equality in everything we do.
Staff members are entitled to 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays. This entitlement increases to 29 days after five years of service and 33 days after 10 years of service.
We believe that flexible working should be offered wherever possible in order to provide a seven day service to our patients and to accommodate a work/life balance for our staff. Flexible working can be used in many different ways to meet the needs of staff and services. Opportunities may include:
- Part-time roles
- Job sharing
- Flexi-time
- Compressed hours
- Career breaks
- Home/agile working
We aim to show our staff recognition on a day-to-day basis by providing supportive and encouraging working environments. We also hold several events during the year to formally demonstrate our appreciation of our staff members’ hard work and commitment to the Trust.
- Long Service Awards: staff who have worked for the Trust for 25, 35 and 40 years are presented with a gift at an annual ceremony;
- Celebrating Success Awards: this annual ceremony recognises staff’s contribution to the delivery of outstanding care
