Job overview
The clinical service unit of Oral Surgery is looking for an enthusiastic and well-motivated Specialty Dentist to join our team.
This post provides a great opportunity to gain significant experience in one of the largest Tertiary referral Centre of Excellence in the UK.
The successful candidate will be working alongside 5 consultants, 1 Associate Specialist, specialist trainees , staff grades, Undergraduates, post graduates & Dental Core Trainees.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The post holder will be required to work in outpatient clinics, operating sessions under LA in the department.,
Clinical responsibility will be to the Consultants. The post holder’s duties will be time-tabled to support all Consultants, to whom the post holder will be responsible. Supportive training will be available in all aspects of Oral Surgery where required.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- DBS
- MFDS/FDS/MJDF
Desirable criteria
- Other relevant Postgraduate qualification in dentistry/Oral Surgery
Experience
Essential criteria
- Relevant experience post-graduation, or equivalent Knowledge and experience in Oral Surgery procedures
- Experience in the comprehensive care of adults and children relating to Oral Surgery
- Experience of Audit
Desirable criteria
- Experience in outpatient work – LA, IHS, IVS
- Experience/Interest in teaching
Registration
Essential criteria
- Full registration with General Dental Council
Desirable criteria
- BLS/ILS/PLS up to date – training will be given
- Oral Surgery Specialist list
Communication

- Good written & verbal communication skills
- Able to communicate fluently in English
