Our values, standards and behaviours define the quality of clinical care we offer and the professional relationships we make with our patients, colleagues and the wider community. We call this Delivering Compassionate Excellence and its focus is on our values of compassion, respect, learning, delivery, improvement and excellence. These values put patients at the heart of what we do and underpin the quality healthcare we would like for ourselves or a member of our family. This is an exciting opportunity to join the COPD Team (who work closely with the asthma service as an airways team) at OUH, to lead and develop an integrated respiratory service. This role will build on established strong links with the well established community respiratory nursing team (Oxford Health) to deliver integrated care. It is intended that this post will be innovative, delivering continuity of care from secondary care into the community. Furthermore the post holder will work closely with Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire integrated Care System (BOB ICS) and the Respiratory Integrated Care Network to deliver the aims of the Long Term Plan and the Major Conditions Strategy, alongside addressing Health Inequalities experienced by Respiratory patients.
This post will bring the opportunity to work closely with areas of highest inequality, particularly in the north of Oxfordshire. In addition, the post holder will link in with additional services including local community palliative care teams.

COVID-19: The COVID-19 vaccination remains the best way to protect yourself, your family, your colleagues and of course our patients from the virus when working in our healthcare settings. Whilst COVID-19 vaccination is not a condition of employment at this time, we do encourage our staff to get vaccinated. We will be checking the vaccination status of all new starters so that we can manage individual and environmental risks and so that we can support those who may be undecided about vaccination. If you are unvaccinated there is helpful advice and information at Oxfordshire County Council Website where you can also find out more about how to access vaccination. There is a current Government consultation underway which will determine whether some new starters may need to be vaccinated.
