An exciting opportunity has arisen within the R&D finance team to join as Management Accountant to provide a comprehensive financial management support to the Research & Development Directorate.
This vacancy has been advertised in accordance with the new NHS pay rate which will take effect from autumn 2024. Please note if your employment starts before the 24/25 pay scales are implemented you will be paid under the 23/24 pay scales and any backpay will be adjusted accordingly. We are looking for a highly motivated, committed and reliable individual with experience of working within a Finance department. You will have:
• First degree in Accounting and or Final stages of CCAB/CIMA/ ACCA professional Accountancy qualification
• Technical competency and excellent organisational skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent commitment to service delivery
• Experience working in fast paced environment
• Commercial acumen
• Ability to establish good working relationship with external stakeholders
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in Accounting packages – Oracle
• Microsoft Office skills– Excel, Access, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
