Job overview
We are looking for a full time (1 WTE) Speciality Doctor with previous experience in dermatology to join our busy dermatology department in the pleasant leafy Fylde Coast in North West England.
The post offers opportunities to develop knowledge and skills in general dermatology and skin surgery and is ideally suited to someone seeking to work towards MRCP/CESR.
We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic doctor who will contribute to the provision and development of high quality Dermatology care for the Fylde coast population at Clifton Hospital in Lytham St Annes. Sessional commitments will include outpatient clinics, skin surgery, inpatient review of inpatients at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals the request of consultant colleagues and weekly skin cancer multidisciplinary clinical meetings.
The successful applicant will join a team of consultant, Speciality Doctors and GPwER, supported by a team of experienced dermatology clinical nurse specialists, in providing a comprehensive dermatology service. We are a friendly, innovative and dynamic department. The successful candidate will undertake outpatient clinics and skin surgery clinics.
The contract is for 10 Programmed Activities, additional programmed activities may be available subject to negotiation with the Medical Director. There is no on-call commitment for this post.

We seek a personable team player, who will seek to develop our department according to their own experience and interests. The successful applicant will be responsible for their own cohort of patients but will work alongside consultant and speciality doctor colleagues, providing mutual support during clinical sessions.
We work in a pleasant modern department in a community hospital in Lytham St Annes. We have brand new NB UVB and PUVA units, running phototherapy clinics Monday to Saturday. We have a well established skin cancer teledermatology service (since 2020), large biologic service, weekly skin cancer MDT and monthly complex MDT clinics.
