Business Support Administrator - Complex Care and Case Management

We are seeking three highly organised and detail-oriented Band 4 Administrators to join the Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, and Autism (MHLDA) Complex Care team. These roles are critical in providing vital administrative support across a range of essential activities, including Care and Treatment Reviews, Dynamic Support Register (DSR) meetings, Host Commissioner arrangements, and financial support for Integrated Care Board (ICB) functions.

The MHLDA Complex Care team plays a crucial role in supporting individuals with complex care needs to prevent mental health hospital admissions and to expedite safe hospital discharges by providing person centred support and effective system collaboration.

You will play a key role in ensuring that the Complex Care team functions smoothly by providing comprehensive admin support.

·        Supporting the organisation and administration of Care and Treatment Reviews, Dynamic Support Register meetings, and Host Commissioner arrangements, including taking minutes.

·        Maintaining and updating the Assuring Transformation database to ensure accurate and timely records are available.

·        Administering and maintaining care packages using the Broadcare database system, ensuring all details are correctly recorded.

·        Assisting with financial queries, discrepancies, and other issues that arise, including budget setting and expenditure monitoring for care packages.

·        Providing support to finance and contracting colleagues to fulfil the ICB's financial responsibilities, including inputting data into finance databases and spreadsheets.

·        Liaising with local authorities, providers, and other stakeholders to provide financial advice and support, ensuring payments, VAT, and invoicing processes are managed correctly.

·        Training new team members and non-financial managers on finance systems and processes to ensure compliance with established procedures.

·        Contributing to continuous improvement by proposing and implementing changes to increase efficiency in the finance and administration functions.

·        Assisting in audits and providing information as required.

·        Working independently and as part of the wider team, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard and within set deadlines.

Our Integrated Care Board (ICB) is the largest in the country. 

The ICB is responsible for ensuring that high quality and safe health services are accessible to all of our communities. It has a wide range of functions, including; promoting integration of health and care services, improving peoples health and well-being, reducing health inequalities.

With a £6.6 billion budget and a workforce of 170,000 people across the North East and North Cumbria. As well as strategic functions, ICB staff also work at place level with local health and wellbeing boards in each of our 14 local authority areas. These teams also work alongside our 67 primary care networks which are groups of local GP practices, social care teams and other community- based area providers.

The ICB works with our Provider Collaborative too, this includes the 11 NHS Foundation Trusts in the region, to deliver our shared priorities.
