What do we do?
At the Neurodevelopmental Hub in West Sussex, we assess children and young people for ADHD and if diagnosed can offer medication as a treatment option. We also assess children and young people for ASC. If diagnosed we close to our service and signpost them to local agencies and services that may be able to offer on-going support.
We use evidence based and NICE approved assessment tools and offer training in the use of these tools.
As a service we are continually developing and adopting new and approved electronic and technological systems
The result is improved accessibility and user-friendly service capable of meeting the needs of a geographically dispersed client group.
Assessments and medication reviews are face-to-face but we also provide Skype, Attend Anywhere and telephonic interventions when required.
Staff tend to work a mixture of remote and office-based. Some meetings are face-to-face and there is an expectation that people travel into a work site when required if capable of doing so.
The team is proud of the difference we make to children, young people and their families
We pride ourselves on acknowledging the efforts of our team and in creating an environment where colleagues are valued and involved in developing the service. We believe in investing in people, keeping true to the values and behaviours of Sussex Partnership and the NHS and looking after the wellbeing of all team members.
Sussex Partnership NHS FT is committed to supporting a diverse workforce that reflects our communities. Our workforce is currently under-represented from Black and Minority, Ethnic and disabled communities and we would welcome applications from these communities.
