NHS Frimley Integrated Care Board was formed on 1 July 2022 under the Health and Care Act 2022, replacing NHS Frimley Clinical Commissioning Group.
The ICB is the new statutory NHS organisation responsible for planning and delivering health and care services. Job overview
The Infrastructure & Utilisation Delivery Manager will be a subject matter expert on both the core GPIT infrastructure and capabilities available as well as best practice use of them within general practice. Leading on the day-to-day management of the GPIT infrastructure, suppliers and processes this role will encompasses both Business as Usual (BAU) responsibilities and project-oriented tasks, aiming to integrate future proof capabilities and best practices into primary care.

The post holder will work with the wider Frimley Digital and Primary Care Portfolios as well as closely with wider internal and external teams and delivery partners in order to support the implementation of agreed portfolio of projects and BAU activity. The I&U delivery manager will take responsibility for end to end roll out of projects, evaluation and risk management as well as ensuring that business as usual activities are delivered within their portfolio of work.
This individual will develop good relationships in the ICB and General Practices across Frimley, as well as an in-depth understanding of national and local GPIT priorities. They will need to communicate frequently, manage projects in a robust way, and have very good technical knowledge.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Operational /BAU GPIT Day to day management of the core GPIT kit processes including working with suppliers and primary care teams to ensure as smooth a process as possible and regular reporting of spend. Support GP practices to get the best out of their clinical system, offering advice and recommendations where required. This is to include data quality through systems optimisation. Be the operational lead for all core digital suppliers related to primary care including relationship management, establishing processes of escalation and leading supplier performance reviews against KPIs.
Project management Responsible for delivery a portfolio of specific projects, tracking dependencies and ensuring risks are managed effectively to ensure these deliver as required. Contribute towards the development of the overall strategy and plan for IT and digital for Frimley including opportunities to identify new solutions to meet requirements and drive value for money, innovation and alignment with the resident facing workstreams.
Relationship Management Engage in relevant internal and external working groups/projects, services and initiatives to support the delivery of core priorities. Will be required to negotiate and influence decision making at a practice, Primary Care Network and system level – managing conflicting priorities and appetite for change.
· Financial and physical resource management Have responsibility for tracking and reporting on the use of resources and monitoring their implementation from a value for money perspective.

Knowledge, Training and Experience
Essential criteria
- Degree level training in an IT, project management or leadership field or equivalent work experience.
- Programme and project management qualification (preferably Agile/LEAN/MSP) or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience of co-ordinating projects in complex and challenging environments and a track record of delivery.
- Deep understanding of the requirements of IT and Digital, including NHS strategies and requirements.
- Experience of developing strategies and plans for complex and ambiguous requirements.
- Programme and project management qualification (preferably Agile/LEAN/MSP) or equivalent experience.
- Evidence of planning and delivering programmes and projects and services on time.
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of wider NHS Strategies i.e., Long Term Plan, 5 Year GP Forward View.
- Detailed knowledge of IT and Digital in a healthcare setting
